As a graphic designer, I'm captivated by the influence of brands on our perceptions and experiences. From my childhood, sporting Nike basketball shoes like the "Air Bakin Miami Heat Tim Hardaway edition" instilled in me a sense of strength and confidence. Even today, the Nike brand triggers nostalgic emotions and memories.
In this project, I aimed to reinterpret several iconic logos based on my personal connections with each brand. My objective was to demonstrate that, even with a fresh perspective, the essence and recognition of the brand would endure. I meticulously crafted hundreds of variations using only the logos, drawing inspiration from the textures of past advertisements. This underscored the pivotal role of branding and advertising in shaping our worldview.
Designers wield considerable influence in shaping culture, acting as the arbiters who breathe life into brands. This endeavor delved deep into the semiotics of branding, exploring how brands mold our experiences and drive cultural shifts.
